Comics:

I have taken on a commission for a comic, and so I've decided to set a secure price range. Keep in mind time and scripting factors.

You MUST submit a plot idea for the comic, whether major or minor. I will not think up comic ideas.

SCRIPTS:If you submit a script, containing dialogue, panel cues, and plot/setting, you will get a discount of %10. The more detailed the script, the higher the discount.

Linework: $10 A panel

Finalized: $15 A panel

Policies:

-Payment will be done through PayPal only, with US dollars.

-Payment is not required until the client has seen a clear-cut sketch of the proposed commission and has approved of it.

-I will not proceed with the commission until payment has been made at that point.

- If you would like me to make changes to palette and pose, please tell me now before I finalize the picture.

- If there are minor details that I missed/messed up *a particular marking, hair styling, key object missing, etc* I will be happy to make changes in the finalized version. However, I will only do this once.

- I will not refund your money if you are displeased with the picture. If you paid after seeing the sketch, and you do not approve of the final version, I will make changes; if, afterward, you are still displeased, then I apologize but you will not be refunded.

-I will only refund your money if, for whatever reason, I am unable to finish your commission.

-If you would like me to finish a commission by a certain date, please let me know beforehand. I would like to know least 2 weeks in advance.

- Yes, you may post my commission in your own gallery if you would like. However, I ask that you give me credit for the artwork.

SO this is a journal long in the making, full of all kinds of inquiries and news and whatnot, because I'm a scrub and I'm not so good getting back with people and keeping in touch and letting others know what the hell is even happening with me. So....sorry about that ^^;

What's going on, you might ask? Well, being the bright little lass I am, I decided it would be a good idea to work full-time and go to school full-time as well. And y'know, it's starting to dawn on me that this was a completely terrible idea and I'm off wondering just what the hell I was thinking. But the deed is done, the classes have started, and I'm on the clock until 11 at night on weekdays. I guess I can't be happy unless I'm dead-dog tired and busy.

Besides all that, I'm still drawing, but now I'm not so scatter-brained and I'm actually sitting down and finishing things. I've discovered the painting method to be a gracious release from my original methods; going through and sketching, THEN line-arting, THEN making the bg, THEN flat-blocking color, THEN applying shadows and highlight, THEN finally applying ambiance and editing by the end of it is a super-duper complicated process, especially when compared to throwing colors down on the canvas and having the freedom of completely altering the composition of a piece without billions upon billions of layers to worry about. Screw layers >.>

In the meantime, I'm trying to come up with enough pictures to sell as prints at a local anime convention. This next year, I would definitely love to set up a booth in the artist's alley; it seems like it would be exciting and fun, regardless of income :) But that kind of also leads into a question of mine for the general community.

PRINTS?

I know I've at least gotten one print request, but mostly I've been super afraid of opening up a print account here. What's the pros? The cons? How does it work? What kind of cut does deviantART get of the profit? What are some issues down the line that I need to be wary of? I guess it's my inner caution tape talking, because I've been apprehensive about prints since I started this account; what are some opinions on the matter? Would you like to see some prints from me? And if so, of which pictures?

While I'm at it, there's also another topic I've been meaning to bring up:

KIRIBAN?

I've been meaning to open a kiriban for a while, but I never pay attention to my page views and I usually miss the dates I try to set up for it. Like this passed one; I wanted to set it up for 30,000, but by the time I was paying attention it was already set at 29,340 or something, but that's too close to give everyone a fair shot. I've been thinking 33,333 now, but I don't know--is that still too soon?

Last, but certainly not least, there's the topic of:

COMMISSIONS!

Lately, I've been taking some small RL commissions, but I miss Felarya ones a lot :ohnoes:. So if you know someone who would like a commission, gently prod them over in this starving artist's corner! ^^

AND if there're any other artists out there who would like a shout out and need a little more shameless advertising, drop me a note and let me know!

I...think that's it for now. When I remember the things I *really* wanted to say, I'll let you guys know. Or try to. I'm an airhead, sadly ^^;
