Description

"Conscripted for the empire's cause, this petty thief had to earn his rank with bloodshed and violence. A once hungry belly and  hungry heart turned to stone, casting out all around him and protecting what remained of his soul. Then, their unit discovered an exotic land, filled with riches and splendor, and this hardened heart was enraptured by the golden lilly and her by his bright, emerald eyes."

I only had the original design and that description up there to go off of, but I thought it turned out pretty nifty! It wasn't supposed to be a full on illustration--more like a colored sketch--so I dabbled in some different things in both SAI and photoshop to get this one done. I'm *starting* to like colors a little bit more now...
