    It was early; yet it seemed even the soil was already pulsing with life and energy, and the morning dew that rested on the delicate petals of flowers like little liquid beads, that literally drenched the ground seemed to be ignored by every living, breathing thing. It seemed to matter not to them if the sun that was creeping over the horizon was already shining rays of a pale, brilliant gold; it was there everyday, why would today be any different? Had not these creatures hunted the night away? And while one group of predators and fauna settled down to rest themselves, yet another roused from their slumber

In all honesty, I completely forgot about this concept until I heard that song. The lyrics just fit the idea perfectly and I couldn't stop thinking about them.


Since before highschool, I've been dabbling with the vague idea of "Moon Witches" a primordial race of all-female moonlight elementals who use the Sun/Moon's rays as fuel for their skyward kingdoms. The "witch" part comes in from the fact that they ride on slender, clockwork vehicles that vaguely resemble brooms.

There are so many versions of the same idea I don't even know how to further elaborate on them. The main plot of which they come from varies from love stories, to action/adventures, to fictional analysis of past/current social politics. What stays the same is that the time frame; it's a steam-punk setting in the Great Depression era, and always, a "Moon Baby" falls from the sky and the ensuing chaos is always fun to think about :la:

Anyway....I thought it was fun to share....^^;

I too have always been enamored by the concept of personifying celestial bodies. There's something awe inspiring about them - not quite fantasy and not quite sci-fi. Such an idea is ripe with potential adventures. I'd really love to see the idea expanded upon.

The really narrow spire and almost monochromatic color scheme give the image a real dreamlike quality. It makes one think and wonder. There's so much to be done with the idea, and we're left to imagine most of it. Really gets the imagination going...
