Description

Joelle, or also known by the preferred name of Jo, first Poe sister encountered, the second youngest amongst her sisters.

The perfect incarnation of an imp, Joelle is fiesty, mischievous, and possesses a blazing temper. She's usually the first to torment any adult travelers in the Woods. Sometimes found to pull pranks on her younger sister, Amy.

Though the Moblins in the area were first planted there by the Dark King himself, they've been stranded in the forest for many years, and Joelle's quick, fiery attitude gained their favor. In many ways, the Moblins can be considered Joelle's pets.

Earlier today, I was browsing deviantART's collection of Poe Sister deviations for something to help stimulate my creative writing processes, or at the very least stand in as a muse. After some time, I found this.

Most deviations I've come across that include any of the Poe Sisters usually have them drawn similarly to the official artwork or video game counterparts. However, this drew my eye because of the humanoid form used, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Not only that, but the precise technique used to give Joelle her shape is absolutely flawless. Honestly, I can only dream to draw toes that well. The attention to detail and truthful adhesion to key physical traits (such as Joelle's hair) are much appreciated by a long-time Zelda fan. Building on to that, the subtle shift in value in the background adds a final touch to an otherwise perfectly detailed character.

This is a wonderful deviation, since it did indeed move me enough to start writing again. Thank you.
