I figured I'd write up another critique, and I think this is a good opportunity to do so, if you're fine with it.
Okay, first, I love your style; everything's so pretty! But of course, it'd be a disservice if I gushed about that this whole time XD
First of all, the lighting. I see some beams of light coming down from the trees, but the top of her head is in shadows. Perhaps its the orientation of the light, but still, it looks a little weird o: Also, I'd expect to see more shadows under her roots, but maybe I'm wrong
Aaaalso, the perspective. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but the dryad and the trees seem to be oriented differently. The trees look straight-up, but the dryad is like semi-birdseyeish, whatever it's called XD
I do like the idea of this, though :3 (glasses are sexy >__> ) I'd say a glasses-wearing dryad reading a book is pretty original XD
Overall, it's a lovely picture. I enjoy seeing things like this from you ^^
...OH YEAH, I'm sure this was a personal pref, but her trunk looks kind of flimsy. Maybe it's the character, but to me, it's different from what I expect Doesn't really hurt the picture, though, but just bringing it up :3
The angle, I think, works very will in emphasizing her body proportions and size as will as that inquisitive look. It seems I'm the only one that notice but I love that bit about name capitalization
Nice to see a picture of these two. It's an unusual scene, and well managed here, I think. Her expression quite suits her, and the whole scene feels peaceful.
